I earned my medical degree from the University of Illinois and completed my general surgical internship and orthopedic residency at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.. I then completed a fellowship in orthopedic adult reconstruction (hip and knee replacement) at the Harvard University combined orthopedic training program at Massachusetts General Hospital.
